Donkey's Photo Finish is an interactive meet and greet attraction located at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood. The attraction opened Spring, 2003 in the former Stage 54 building at the Florida park (which had also once occupied the MCA Recording Studio) and in a building at the Hollywood park which had formerly been incorporated by the previous Rugrats Magic Adventure 3-D attraction. The attraction is located across the street from the exit to the Shrek 4-D attraction at both locations. The attraction is not run during inclement weather. It is titled Meet Shrek and Donkey at the Hollywood theme park.

Summary

Queue

Depending on how busy the attraction is, guests may wait in a simple queue line.

Main Show

Guests walk up to an animatronic Donkey who mingles with and makes fun of them. The guests have their picture taken with Donkey, and then move onto meeting Shrek and Princess Fiona, the latter of which talks to them, and both sign their autograph books (if guests have them), and guests then have their picture taken with Shrek and Fiona, and the experience ends.

Post Show

Pictures of the guests with Donkey and with Shrek and Fiona can be purchased at the Photo Center in the Front Lot area of the Florida theme park and directly at the exit to the attraction at the Hollywood theme park.

Mechanics

The Donkey used in the attraction is animatronic with a moving head and mouth, and incorporates a voiceover element which has Donkey voiced by an actor which stands in an area inside the building which is behind the attraction. The actor who portrays Shrek wears a character costume which incorporates a built-in fan, which rarely works, to help them in case of hot weather.
